LAVA Music presents Wyatt Easterling in the beautiful Abounding Grace Sanctuary.
Nashville songwriter, Wyatt Easterling, was a finalist in the Kerrville New Folk Contest in 2010 and 2011. His songs have been recorded and made famous by Dierks Bentley, Joe Diffie, Billy Joe Royal, Neal McCoy, Sons of the Desert, and others. And he wrote the title track of Dierks Bentley's multiplatinum album "Modern Day Drifter".
Despite his numerous successes, Wyatt Easterling is sweet and unassuming. He likes to write little vignettes about everyday life and share them with people. His intricate guitar work and smooth voice pull the listener in to hear his lyrics filled with simple truths. Wyatt performed with several other musicians in an intimate pre-Folk Festival breakfast concert that LAVA hosted on the patio at Scooter's Cafe in La Placita Village in May of 2010, and we've been wanting to get him back to Tucson for a performance ever since.
Wyatt's latest release "Where this River Goes" on High Horse Records captures his observations of the world around him. From the title track to his duet with Jessi Colter Jennings ("Sounds Like Life to Me"), Wyatt's album is a rich collection of poignant stories drawn from a life well-lived.
Wyatt Easterling will perform at Abounding Grace Sanctuary, 2450 S. Kolb, just north of Golf Links on the west side of Kolb, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Advance tickets are $15 online, all fees included. Tickets will be $20 cash at the door. Doors open at 6:30.
