Honeyfoot with Small Houses
Honeyfoot, the Cambridge based Americana trio, plays original pieces written by vocalist Gillian Grogan that range from bluesy introspections to contemporary tributes to the traditional folk ballads of the British Isles. These three make music where Americana meets folk and thrives in soul. The band will release their first EP this coming July, 'Redbird.'
Honeyfoot may have a new name, but these string enthusiasts have been picking together since 2014, first, as Goldie and the Wolves and again in the fall of 2015 as Gillian Grogan & Friends on the heels of her national tour.
Small Houses is a Flint, MI and Austin, TX based alt-country project featuring the songs and poems of Flint, MI native Jeremy Quentin. Artfully crafted finger-style guitar playing, and softly sung melodies describing the people, love, and homes of Quentins life.
Jeremy Quentin, the vocalist behind Lansings Small Houses, sings with an earnestness thats hard to deny Quentins music is based on delicate folk melodies and his plucked six-string, with sparse acoustic arrangements that are quietly beautiful. A.V. Club
