WHATIZ presents 7even Thirty, DAB-ATS & Nae Alma
7evenThirty:
7evenThirty's sophomore album, The Problem, is produced entirely by 12 bit beat maestro Gensu Dean. The pair both hail from Jackson, Mississippi, but now both reside in Dallas where they produced the new album. The first single ($ Stacks & Body Bags) off the record is meant to shake things up a bit, showcasing a whole new side of both 7evenThirtys flow and Gensu Deans nasty update on raw 12 bit production.
The new album finds 7evenThirty sharper than ever in terms of delivery, comfortable and confident no matter where Deans snares and kicks hit. 7even moves in and out of double time with deceptive ease. Furthermore, his styles are markedly varied throughout, ranging from rigid and rapid fire to bouncy and playful. Still, 7evenThirtys dexterity behind the mic doesnt supersede his thought provoking lyrics.
Working solely with his preferred SP-1200, which only allows ten seconds of sample time, Gensu Dean has once again managed to modernize golden era aesthetics, crafting intricate and fluid beats through stringent composition. Favoring sonic diversity over claustrophobic cohesion, Deans banging suites are perfectly tailored to 7evenThirtys wide-ranging subject matter.
The sole feature comes from venerated New York MC Sean Price on Hook Heavy. Over Gensu Deans menacing production, Prices gruff deadpan delivery proves the perfect counterpart for 7evenThirtys energetic and elastic wordplay.

DAB Williams aka Slimkiddre is the co-founder and one part member of the never follow a trend movement known as the Ariginal TrendSettas. A Central Valley Native and local hero DAB's 2013 release of his "Off the cuff" LP proved to be a landmark for the Central Valley emcee setting in motion his desire to prove conscience Hip-Hop's alive and well in Central California. Back from a studio hiatus DAB will be gracing the stage May 5th showcasing the anticipated release of his new LP due out this Summer!
