The Mount Vernon City School District presents the Tony Award winning musical Dreamgirls. The book and lyrics are by Tom Eyen and music by Harvey Krieger. Production dates are April 29 - 30 at 7:00 PM and May 1 at 3:00 PM in the Mount Vernon High School. The production will feature over 30 students from the three high schools: Mount Vernon, Thornton, and Mandela/Zolicoffer in Mount Vernon, New York. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5.00 for students. The musical is produced and directed by Evelyn Collins, the district's Director of Arts & Gifted and Talented Education and music directed by Alvin Waddles.
