2016-2017 Season Subscription for La Follia
Purchase a subscription to the 2016-2017 La Follia Austin Baroque Season at a substantial discount over single ticket prices.

Enjoy the diversity and musical excellence of another spectacular La Follia Austin Baroque Season.  With eight Austin Critics' Table nominations for its performers as well as two concerts cited as "Top 10 Classical Music Treasures" of the year, we promise this season's performances to be equally distinguished.

A season subscription admits you to the following concerts:

In 2016:

August 27th, 8pm and 28th, 4pm
Animal House
A kid-friendly concert featuring music celebrating our furry and feathered friends.  With special guest Robert Faires as narrator.  Included are Carnival of the Animals, Sheep may safely graze, and the Catcerto with Nora the Piano Cat.

October 8th, 8pm and 9th, 4pm
Election 2016 - La Follia Style with KMFA
Your vote counts! In our election year spoof, we perform great music and, based on that, YOU elect the next President and Vice-President of early Classical Music.  Will it be Bach? Or Mozart? Or a surprise like Pachelbel or the black Mozart Saint-Georges? Your favorite KMFA announcers host and analyze this momentous event!

In 2017:

January 7th, 8pm and 8th, 4pm
Tell me a Story
The string ensemble performs music from the Baroque era which tells a story.  Featured are Telemanns Don Quixote, Bibers Battle Suite, and Vivaldis Winter.

March 4th, 8pm and 5th, 4pm
A Chamber Concert
with Anton Nel
Chamber music on period instruments by Mozart, Haydn, and Beethoven.  Featured is Beethovens piano quartet, Op. 16. Anton Nel on fortepiano, with Stephen Redfield, violin, Marcus McGuff, flute, Bruce Williams, viola, and Katie Rietman, cello.

April 1st, 8pm and 2nd, 4pm
Fooled Ya! with KMFA and Suzanne Bona
La Follia welcomes Suzanne Bona, creator and host of the nationally syndicated Sunday Baroque radio program to help us celebrate KMFAs 50th anniversary.  In this April Fools special, we perform beautiful, often very famous, works, which are either completely misattributed or forgeries.  We also perform fabulous music by mystery composers whose true identities will astonish you.  Great fun with Suzanne personally engaging the audience

Venue for all concerts is First Presbyterian Church on Mesa Drive in Austin.

Season subscriptions are offered as "Will Call".  This saves you the concern about printing or misplacing tickets.

If you are unable to attend a concert, you are always able to transfer your ticket to a friend.  Just have them notify the ticket desk or email info@lafollia.org.
