PRESENTATION: Lakewood High School Value Analysis
Originally planned through the schematic design phase as a remodel of the existing high school, the Lakewood High School Project changed direction during design to a completely new facility replacement when the MENG Analysis team conducted a cost and functional analysis of the project. By applying the SAVE international process of Value = Function/Cost and using parametric cost estimating, MENG Analysis was able to assist the Lakewood School District (LWSD) and McGranahan Architects Design Team by providing a design concept that will support the goals and education of all LWSD students well into the future.
PRESENTER: John Boatman
With over 23 years experience in the construction industry spanning design, cost estimating, project management, construction management, general contracting, consulting, claims management and as an public facilities owner, John offers a unique perspective to cost estimating and analysis. He has applied his cost estimating skills on a wide variety of projects ranging in size, type, and complexity. John has generated cost estimates for various USACE, DOD, public works, and engineering clients as well as independent government estimates. He has extensive experience with contract documents both in implementation and interpretation. Since joining MENG Analysis January 2013, he has led constructability reviews, participated in value engineering studies, and conducted facility condition assessments for over 200 projects.

The member price for this event is $32.00 if you register before 12:00 Noon on the Monday immediately preceding the meeting; late registration is $37.00. Non-members will be charged $39.00 before 12:00 Noon on the Monday immediately preceding the meeting, and $45.00 thereafter.

A very limited of first come first served meals will be available at the door.
MENU:
You may order Char Grilled Halibut Filet, Chicken Diable or Vegetarian (requires one week advance notice) dinner. If you have specific dietary restrictions please contact us at aaceseattle@gmail.com so that we can accommodate you. The AACE Seattle Section will be rotating menu selections this program year; we are interested in obtaining your feedback!

AACE Seattle Section meets the 2nd Thursday of each month from September through May (excluding December). Each meeting with a technical presentation qualifies for .25 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) towards your CCP/CEP/CFCC/DRMP/EVP/PSP recertification requirements.
