Stray Dogs Bluegrass Band
Friday June 22nd STRAY DOGS BLUEGRASS BAND http://straydogsbluegrass.com/
As the name "Stray Dogs" suggests, our musical heritage stems from a decidedly mixed ancestry. Basic ingredients include the instrumentation and compositions created and performed by traditional bluegrass greats such as Bill Monroe and Flatt and Scruggs. We add original songwriting to the mix as well as cover arrangements strongly influenced by contemporary bluegrass artists like JD Crowe and Doyle Lawson. We bake in a few timeless melodies from classic country artists in the tradition of Buck Owens and Merle Haggard. Finally, our more recent inspirations are taken from "new" old timey and acoustic roots music as performed by Crooked Still and Jakob Dylan. Come join the Stray Dogs as we celebrate our fresh original material as well as the sounds of classic country, bluegrass and roots music.10pm -$5
