| Description |
Bare Theatre brings its trademark sharpness and intensity to "Othello," one of Shakespeare's most controversial and tragic plays.
The story of "Othello" is as much about the passionate and envious characters surrounding Othello as it is about the title character himself. It features one of Shakespeare's greatest villians - Iago, a master of manipulation and lies - as well as the ever innocent Desdemona, one of Shakespeare's most tragic leading ladies.
Artistic Director Carmen-maria Mandley directs with fight choreography by Heather J. Hackford and live percussion led by Company Composer G. Todd Buker.
