MY FAIR LADY presented by McKinney Summer Musicals
MY FAIR LADY, with book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Frederick Loewe, has been called the standard by which all other musicals are measured. Adapted from George Bernard Shaw's play and Gabriel Pascal's motion picture Pygmalion, the story centers around Eliza Doolittle, a Cockney flower girl who takes speech lessons from professor Henry Higgins, a phoneticist, in order that she may pass as a proper lady. The musical features well-known songs such as "I Could Have Danced All Night", "On the Street Where You Live", "Get Me to the Church on Time", and "I've Grown Accustomed to Her Face".
Like the City of McKinney, McKinney Summer Musicals (MSM) prides itself on being unique. Only MSM offers performances with a live orchestra, professional costumes, make up, set and lighting designs, and in a spacious and comfortable auditorium. All within the ideal summer destination of historic McKinney Texas.
