Hailed in The Scotsman as warmhearted & suffused with a sense of people & place wistful, atmospheric & straight from the heart, from their home on the banks of Loch Lomond, Scotland, longtime stalwarts of the Scottish folk scene, cellist, vocalist & composer Linsey Aitken & singer, songwriter, guitarist & Northumbrian piper Ken Campbell, return to Don Quixote's, near Loch Lomond, California.
Their music encompasses a host of subjects, all with Scots related themes, all about people with compelling stories to tell, that they have championed to all points of the compass as amiable ambassadors of Scottish music & culture.
The Living Tradition wrote of their latest CD, Authentic, assured, warm & inspiring, Kith and Kin beautifully blends traditional & contemporary influences in a marvelous example of all that is best about Scots music & song, integrating myriad strands to produce memorable & well-crafted songs. Two highly accomplished & polished musicians with many years experience, combine flawlessly & seamlessly, complimenting the other's skills with beautiful harmonies provided by the other.
