effects of the Trans- Atlantic slave trade on the enslaved African female and draws a parallel between feelings deeply embedded in the souls of today's African American woman. This ground breaking film also exposes how slavery shaped African American manhood and rips the facade off perceptions of the 'Black man's sexuality and the Angry Black Woman'.
