Choir of the Sound has grown! Enjoy our new fuller sound in this wonderful 36th season of concerts.
The "B" series season ticket includes Sunday afternoon concerts. PLEASE NOTE that the venue for this series is listed as Shorecrest Performing Arts Center as we can list only one venue; however, the classical (March) concert will take place at St. Mark's Cathedral.
Holiday Concert: "Light Vanquishes Darkness"
Journey with Choir of the Sound as we explore this age-old theme that runs through Christmas, Hanukkah, Winter Solstice, and other similar traditions around the world--from King Herod and the Christ child, to Grýla and the children of Iceland... or even the Grinch and the Whos! Classical concert: "Sacred Sound, Sacred Space"
Choir of the Sound commemorates the 100th birthday of Benjamin Britten by singing some of his greatest works in the ethereal acoustics of St Mark's Cathedral. The choir also will perform other works specially selected to maximize your listening experience in this wonderful space. Sunday, March 10, 2013 at 2:00 PM, St. Mark's Cathedral in Seattle. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS ONE HOUR EARLIER THAN OUR USUAL SUNDAY CONCERT START TIME. The earlier start is due to St. Mark's schedule of Sunday services.
Pops concert: "Rocket Man Meets Piano Man"
Choir of the Sound presents the music of talented Pop icons Elton John and Billy Joel, from soulful ballads to flat-out rockin' tunes. Sunday, June 2, 2013 at 3:00 PM, Shorecrest Performing Arts Center in Shoreline.
