Secret Life, Secret Death
Secret Life, Secret Death is a Docudrama Mystery about young mother who falls into a web of crime in Chicago's roaring 20's and later runs a shady motel in northern Wisconsin during the Great Depression. Her granddaughter filmmaker follows her secret trail to the streets and archives of Chicago and the former brothels of northern Wisconsin.
"It's a gangster movie, from the woman's point of view," Davis said. "If you ever wondered what happened to all the woman who were used as sexy decoration in gangster movies, this is what happened to them."
The movie is a genre-breaker for a number of reasons: One, it's a woman's story in Gangland Chicago. Two, as a professional artist, Davis created a film which has alot of artistic flair, with layerd historic photos and images and green screen special effects. There's also the soundtrack of seductive, Tangos, Ragtime, Jazz, Blues, and Big Band music. The synergistic effect is an artistic visual and audio feast not to be missed!
