There are no active dates for this event.
Online sales have closed, but tickets WILL be available at the door, so we hope to see you there! Doors open at 7pm, Show begins at 7:30pm. Parking will be available at the Blood Center of the Pacific, just west of St. Cyprian's on Turk. If you use that space you will be given a pass to put in your window. Someon will be in the lot by 7 PM to give you a pass. There is also usually street parking on Turk.

A Concert for the Mother

Through a double spiral of original music and lyrics spun around ancient myth, fairy and folk tales, two women artists sound out the raw, open, grateful, fragile and ever-powerful experience of mothering in the embrace of an endangered yet resilient Mother Earth.

This event is probably most appropriate for grown-ups; however, mature children ages 10 and up are welcome to attend with their parents.

Olive Hackett-Shaughnessy has been a professional storyteller since 1986. She is a  wandering bard who brings folk tales, fairy tales and myths from the ancient oral tradition back to life for audiences of all ages and stages: from preschool to senior citizens. Olive has traveled to Sweden and Mexico to joining the international conversation on storytelling as a healing art.  Her presentations and workshops are lively interactive experiences that encourage compassion and community.

Charity Kahn -- mother, musician, performer, teacher, songwriter, and recording artist -- is the founder of the JAM Music and Movement Experience for young children and their parents, and the award-winning family music group, Charity and the JAMband. Under the umbrella of JAM, she guides music and movement classes and camps for children around the San Francisco Bay Area, and performs both solo and with her JAMband at schools, libraries, clubs, and festivals. Her six family music albums have won numerous awards are appreciated by families around the world. Charity also offers meditation workshops and meet-ups for grown-ups, and performs concerts and meditation events addressing climate change and our current ecological, social and political crises. She strives to spread joy, connection, mindfulness, and celebration of ALL life through the vehicles of song, dance and mindfulness, For more information, visit www.jamjamjam.com.
