Ambrose Martos* // Show: Manchego: The Birth of Cheese
Manchego: The Birth of Cheese Manchego is a lanky, late night lover of uncertain ability who has wooed women, men and some inanimate objects in New York, Amsterdam, Stockholm, Berlin, San Francisco, and even New Jersey. His life's mission is to bring people together to feel good, have a good laugh, a good time, and possible some good smooching. But what is he really like behind his prescription rose-colored glasses and underneath his carefully coiffed coiffure? What's his story? And why is he so strangely irresistible? Find out a lot more about a man you never thought you'd meet, but always secretly desired you would, at Manchego: The Birth of Cheese.
Manchego: The Birth of Cheese was created by Ambrose Martos, a clown, actor and burlesque artist in New York City. Ambrose has performed in Cirque du Soleil's Quidam, Slava's Snowshow, and was one of the Merry Pranksters in Julie Taymor's film "Across the Universe." He graduated from the Ringling Bros. Clown College and for years worked with the physical comedy trio Happy Hour (happyhourclowns.com) and the Big Apple Circus Clown Care. He regularly hosts burlesque shows at the Slipper Room in New York. Ambrosemartos.com
