This one-woman circus cabaret will touch your heart, tickle your funny bone, and perhaps even give you a back massage. Our host for the evening is Pretty. Pretty Smart. MS. Pretty Smart to you, thank you very much. Donning top hat and boa, we bring you the best circus and variety acts to have ever graced the stage, all performed by one "experienced and intelligent performer," (Kyle Knox of Informed Edinburgh): Olivia Hallie Lehrman.
A native of Brooklyn, this acrobat/comedienne has performed flying trapeze, character, aerial and clown work, and classical music with Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Circus, at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, in the Glasgow Cabaret Festival, in the Asheville Burlesque Festival, for España Family Circus, with Boulder's Octopus League, as part of Naropa University's Master Thesis Projects, as company member of Cirque Boom, on Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, and twice at Carnegie Hall (she was twelve y.o. for that last one).
Deftly transforming between many characters, Olivia wows with feats of strength, captivating wit, and hilarious humility. From handstands and acrobatic agility suspended on aerial silks, to sexy burlesque and roll-on-the-floor laughter, Ms. Pretty Smart uses every single one of her wiles to hold the show together. And just when the show can't go on, the show must go on! With one star-studded member of the audience, she performs a duo finale that would have made marquees of the vaudeville stages of yesteryear.
