Jazz Mafia All-Stars
Coming to Sonoma County from the Mission District of San Francisco, Jazz Mafia presents fearless young jazz innovators who incorporate exciting elements of electronica, soul, funk, big band, orchestral-crossover and hip-hop genres in their music. Jazz Mafia has played to enthusiastic crowds at South by Southwest, the Stern Grove Music Festival, and popular jazz clubs throughout the Bay Area. One writer compared the group's sound to "what you'd hear if a full-size philharmonic found itself jamming with a classic big band during a street-corner rap battle." Jazz Mafia will perform an outdoor concert at Healdsburg's beautiful Veterans Memorial Beach to help raise funds for this popular summer swimming area.
