Happy 90th Birthday Bea Arthur! Love, Judy Garland
Acclaimed Judy Garland impersonator Peter Mac and Bea Arthur tribute artist DJ Schaefer appear as two Dorothys together in this special one-night-only event, celebrating what would've been the ladies' 90th birthdays. Set in the intimate Peter Mac's Supper Club in the French Market, the show features a full Garland concert, with Arthur as her special guest for songs like "Bosom Buddies." They'll also recreate a scenario from Jerry Herman himself, with Garland playing Mame opposite Arthur. Expect plenty of laughs along with lots of memorable music when these two artists share the stage.
This is a One Night On and is inside the French Market located at 7985 Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood. The full French Market menu is available and the room opens for dinner and beverage service at 6:45PM.
Starring Peter Mac as Judy Garland and DJ Schaefer as Bea Arthur.

Dr. John "DJ" Schaefer is a dual brained personality. Right brained he is adept at celebrity impersonations where he both speaks and sings live as the women he portrays. Most famously that of the late great Bea Arthur whom he began to portray in the original cast of "The Golden Girls: LIVE!" which ran in NYC from 2002 to 2004. His favorite reviews: "He portrays his characters straightforwardly with impeccable timing!" ~ Time Out Magazine, "Gave me a hot flash." ~ Michael Musto, The Village Voice. Left brained he has doctoral degrees in Computer Mediated Learning and Experiential Design. He uses these skill sets for various recording artists including: Taylor Swift; Xzibit; and his Husband Peter Mac. Performing is in DJ's DNA as he is the Grand-Nephew of Richard Waring (who played Bette Davis' Brother Trippy in the film Mr. Skeffington), and the God Son of Waring's wife Florida Friebus (Dobie Gillis' Mother on The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis on TV).
Peter Mac is excited to see his dream become a reality to be debuting "Judy Garland LIVE!: In Concert" in this new venue built especially for him. So welcome to "Peter Mac's at the French Market," a new showroom dedicated to the preservation of loving tributes to a bygone era.
Mac made his debut as Ms. Garland in 2002 in his autobiographical play, "Judy and Me," which ran for nearly two years at Rose's Turn in New York. It made its Off-Broadway debut in 2008 at St. Luke's Theater, also in New York, where it enjoyed a successful limited run. It toured throughout the East Coast and spawned his cabaret show, "Judy Garland: Live in Concert."
Here is what one legend said: "I was here tonight to see Peter Mac as Judy. It's the most wonderful show, and I had the most wonderful time. It's like being back with Judy. He is absolutely fantastic!" -- Margaret O'Brien, Judy's little sister in "Meet Me in St. Louis"
