March 2016 Sustainability Wins Lunch and Learn: (Solar) Power to the People

Renewable energy is more accessible than ever. One key reason: the cost of renewables is decreasing. Still, that doesn't mean that everyone can access renewable energy. To take one concrete example, even with solar panels at record low prices, they still aren't affordable for middle-class and lower income Americans.

Enter the National Community Solar Partnership (NCSP). The NCSP came into being July 2015, part of President Obama's commitment "to expand solar access to all Americans, with specific emphasis on serving low and moderate income households."

Please join us, and hear  from GRID Alternatives - a Denver nonprofit that helps bring renewable energy technology and training to underserved communities - and the National Renewable Energy Lab - the federal laboratory advancing renewable energy technology and systems, right in Golden about their work with the NCSP here in Colorado.
