Sundance Saloon presents intermediate and advanced-level West Coast Swing workshops with guest instructor Kelly Casanova
Kelly Casanova, two time US Open Swing Dance Champion, has been teaching West Coast Swing in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1981. She has traveled throughout the United States competing, teaching, and judging. In 1999 her ground-breaking swing event, "Spring Break," allowed same-gender couples to compete. Kelly was inducted into the National Swing Dance Hall of Fame in 2004.
Sunday, February 7, 2016 Intermediate West Coast Swing: 5:15 pm Advanced West Coast Swing: 6:15 pm Location: Sundance Saloon, 550 Barneveld Ave, San Francisco
The intermediate workshop will assume comfort with basic moves including left side pass, underarm pass, push break, starter step, and 8-count whip.
The advanced workshop will require comfort with more complex moves such as rolls, tucks, and basic whip variations.
Each workshop is limited to 16 (8 leaders and 8 followers). $10 for one 50-minute workshop. (This is in addition to the $5 admission fee to Sundance Saloon.) Questions? Contact info@sundancesaloon.org.
Additional workshops with Kelly Casanova March 6. If you are wait-listed for the February workshop, you will receive priority for the future workshops. Members of the Sundance Association automatically receive priority for sign-up for each workshop.
