Vacaville Farm Tour
This Slow Food Solano Fundraiser for their Solano school gardens grant program invites people in the area to get to know their local farmer by taking this self-guided tour of 5 local farms:  Soul Food Farm, Morningsun Farm, Be Love Farm, Sunny Slope Orchard, and Mercier Grapevines. The self-guided tour will be on Sunday, June 3 from 10 AM - 4:30 PM.  It will begin at Soul Food Farm at 6046 Pleasants Valley Road in Vacaville where participants will receive a map and schedule of the individual tours. Carpooling is suggested since some of the farms have limited parking. Besides guided tours at each location, there will be olive oil, honey and wine tasting, farm produce sampling, an author book signing,and a surprise gift at the end of the tour.  Participants are encouraged to bring a picnic to enjoy at one of the sites and farm produce will also be available for sale at some of the sites.
