Kalliope Jones at TreeCat Cafe
Kalliope Jones performs at the youth-run TreeCat Café on Thursday, January, 21, 2016 at 6:30 pm at the Treehouse Community at Easthampton Meadows, 1 Treehouse Circle Easthampton, MA.

Formerly known as Belle Amie, Kalliope Jones (Alouette Batteau, Amelia Nields Chalfant, and Isabella Decherd) met at the Institute for the Musical Arts (IMA) in Goshen MA, a rock and roll camp just for girls. In 2012, they played a number of local venues leading up to a slot at the Iron Horse as opening act for the sold out And the Kids CD release party. In the summer of 2013 they played on both the main stage and the workshop stage at the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, performing their own songs and singing backup for Dar Williams and the Nields. Since then, they have played such venues as the Rendezvous in Turners Falls, the Iron Horse Music Hall in Northampton, and Passim in Cambridge, to name a few. Most recently, they performed at the Iron Horse in Northampton MA as support for Antigone Rising. Their 2015 video, Nightlight, was released by MTV, People Magazine, and Seventeen, and was voted one of the top ten videos in New England by the Worcester Telegraph, as well as winning Best Music Video at the Ashfield Film Festival. The trio write and arrange original songs with professional confidence and skill. At ages 14, 14, and 17, Kalliope Jones are taking their time developing their skills and plan to play music for the rest of their lives.

"For a delicious musical treat: Take three young women (13, 14 and 16), pour in a liberal sense of adept musical timing, add hooks sharp enough to catch fish and fold in voices that go together like chocolate and peanut butter you will have the recipe for Kalliope Jones." ~ Tommy Byrnes, Upper Valley Music Festival

The TreeCat Café is a new monthly cafe and performance venue run by youth of the Treehouse Community, a unique inter-generational community designed to support families who are fostering and adopting children from the foster care system.
