Boulez contra Cage, at the Queer Arts Festival
Boulez contra Cage continues QAF's track record of presenting adventurous collaborations between artistic disciplines. Adapted from the published correspondence of Pierre Boulez and John Cage, Boulez contra Cage dramatizes the friendship and conflict of two major Queer composers who embodied the polar opposites of post-war musical thought: the resolute Serialism, and the radical Indeterminacy. Starring David Bloom, Simon Webb, and flute/piano duo Tiresias (Mark McGregor and Rachel Kiyo Iwaasa).
Pride in Art is registered as a not for profit society in BC. We now have charitable status, and will issue tax receipts for all donations of $20 or more. To donate online, please visit our donation page.
