Chocolate Tasting and Wine Pairing
We invite you to join us for an afternoon of indulgence. Slow Food Santa Cruz will be hosting a chocolate tasting and lecture by Kallari Association of cacao growers, one of only two cacao cooperatives to be recognized with the Presidium award for their heirloom cacao beans. The lecture will cover roasting techniques, origins of the chocolate, stages in cocoa production and bean preparation as well as the process for chocolate making, and the economic impact of chocolate as a commodity. A wine accompaniment to the chocolate tasting will be provided by Vino Cruz Wine Shop with proceeds supporting Slow Food Santa Cruz. Tickets will be $25 for Slow Food members and $30 for non-members. Seats are limited to 30 participants so book your tickets soon!
