Progressive Health Partnership and Leader Dogs for the Blind will be hosting our 2nd Annual Charity Event on Friday, April 1st, 2016 at 7:30 pm-10:30pm in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
All proceeds from this event will go to supporting the ongoing works of PHP for women and children as well as the Leader Dogs for the Blind. Both are 501 (c) non-profit organizations. Tickets are tax deductible.
Please join us for three hours of wine, beer and strolling food stations.
We will be having carnival games, a raffle and silent auction, as well as a wine pull.
CSG SOFC (U-M Central Student Government) provided a great deal of funding to help make this event come to fruition.
Progressive Health Partnership NGO:
Progressive Health Partnership fights with all its power to eliminate the burden of disease on the poor and to eradicate the inexcusable inequalities that divide our world. We listen closely to the poor, we learn from them, and we join together with them in common cause to build real solutions to the problems they face.
We envision a world in which all people live with dignity, enjoy good health, and fulfill their potential. Our work won't stop until we reach this goal. We pursue a world grounded on equal opportunity in which we, as members of humanity, collectively uphold the rights of all people. We believe real change is within reach.
Leader Dogs for the Blind:
Founded in 1939, Leader Dogs for the Blind empowers people who are blind, visually impaired or Deaf-Blind with skills for daily travel, opening doors that may seem to have closed with the loss of sight. Thanks to the generosity of our dedicated supporters, all programs are provided free to clients, including meals and housing during training, travel and equipment (including the dogs). Leader Dog programs are crafted to address individual situations and adapt to our clients changing needs at any point in their lives. From youth camp to orientation and mobility cane training through guide dog training and GPS technology integration, Leader Dogs programs give clients the confidence and skills they need to live independent lives. Leader Dogs for the Blind serves clients from all 50 states and more than 18 different countries worldwide. For more information visit leaderdog.org
