DEAD HORSES:

Raised on Bible Hymns by her preacher father, Dead Horses frontwoman Sarah Vos' backstory sounds more like that of an old bluesman from the Mississippi Delta than a young folk singer from Wisconsin. Vos' gospel, living free and unapologetically, is supported with conviction by Peter Raboin on acoustic guitar and Daniel Wolff on double bass. And despite their youth, the Milwaukee-based folk trio has crafted a timeless sound, informed as much by modern folk as it is by the classics.

Following the release of their second album "Space and Time" in 2014, Dead Horses have been touring tirelessly across the country, playing shows with Brooklyn folksters Swear & Shake, Wisconsin troubadour Cory Chisel as well as newgrassers The Infamous Stringdusters. A sound that is equally masterful and heartfelt, "Space and Time" received accolades at 88Nine Radio Milwaukee's 2014 award ceremony and earned the band an invitation to record their next album with Wilco and Uncle Tupelo drummer, Ken Coomer, in Nashville this winter.

BOOTS:

"Fargo's Super Group" -- FM Spotlight Feb 2014

"Fargo Moorhead's premiere folk/bluegrass/americana group...With stronger material than ever before, fans can expect a tighter sound with more enhanced harmonies and a continuation of unforgettable melodies."

Nominated for the High Plains Reader "Best Original Band" in 2014

Nominated for two 2014 ND Music Awards ---- "Best Original Folk group" and "Best Cover Folk Group"

Fargo's own BOOTS is a group of four music veterans coming together to sing songs, pick like hell and entertain the folks of the frozen North.

Featuring 3 unique songwriters in Mark Reitan (mandolin), Rob Ashe (guitar), Nathan Pitcher (guitar) and a powerful one man rhythm section in Travis Atwood (bass), the boys in Boots craft songs arranged with powerful 4 part harmonies and tasty, experienced licks. Drawing from folk, bluegrass, blues, gypsy jazz and outlaw country, the band shows a wide range of influences and taste that helps carve our their place among the modern musical landscape.

After releasing their first EP in December of 2013, Boots hit the road hard in 2014 playing to crowds all over the Northern plains including music festival slots at Big Wu Family Reunion, Revival, and Roots On The Red sharing the stage with incredible talent from all across country (and at least one ocean).

Now with their brand new full-length album "1:30", recorded and engineered at The Hideaway Studios by Minneapolis recording wizard, Dan Jensen, the boys have 13 new original songs that tighten up their writing and arrangements and feature some killer players and friends in Chris Forsberg (Kind Country, Boys and The Barrels) on fiddle, Johnny 'Hothands' Kovarik (Kind Country) on banjo and Rob Schmidt (Battlefields) on brush snare.
