Ghosts of the Great Road: Market Square
Ghosts of the Great Road is an interactive ghost walk and live paranormal investigation of Philadelphia's most haunted and historic neighborhood. Grab your ghost hunting gear and join a period dressed guide to learn of the strange and unexplained tales that took place and still take place along the "Great Road."
All tickets are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged. Market Square was and still is the economic and social center of Germantown. In addition to featuring the Presidential home of George Washington and remnants of a former prison for convicted criminals, Market Square is also known as one of Philadelphia's most haunted neighborhoods.
Take a stroll around Market Square and meet spirits from the American Revolution and Yellow Fever epidemic. Perhaps you might even run into Justinia, a former servant of the Wister Family who regularly appears in Grumblethorpe's garden.
Hear supernatural tales from sites including: Germantown Historical Society Deshler-Morris House Sower House
The tour concludes with a live paranormal investigation inside Grumblethorpe, an 18th century county seat and home to several generations of the Wister Family. Bring your ghost hunting equipment for a guided ghost hunt into the home's most haunted locations.
Ghosts of the Great Road tours last 90 minutes and cover several blocks in Historic Germantown. Don't forget to bring your ghost hunting gear since each tour concludes with an investigation inside a real haunted house!
