Friday night...Drum Solo fun & Shimmy Shuffle
Drum solo rhythms, combos to match, guided improvisation
& anything goes (Shimmy Shuffle)

Saturday- Taxim & Musicality with Meg & Rafi'ah..
- Using the musical score to the song Aziza-
...recognizing symbols, phrasing, rhythmic layers, subdivisions, high/low notes & tempo changes while listening then interpreting with dance & movement
--Melodic contours..drawing or mapping on paper then dancing it ..
--Maqams...flavor (or feeling)
--Palmas and taxim circle with dancing to Meg on clarinet
...and whatever else happens....

Sunday... Slow movement, arms, torso and breathing by Rafi'ah
to music by Clark on xylophone & Meg on clarinet
to prepare for
"Stage presence, projection & expression...
(performing techniques, projecting emotion)
...staging and capturing their hearts)
