Salvatore De Vita is a little boy living in a small village of Sicily after the II world war. His childhood is marked by the friendship with Alfredo, the projectionist, the passion for Cinema Paradiso and his first love.
Salvatore leaves his village young to become filmmaker and never comes back till the death of his lifetime friend 30 years later. This is the occasion to relive his past as in a flashback. A sentimental movie, set in a beautiful and genuine post-war Sicily.
