Workshop: Terrarium Ornaments
The Friends of the National Arboretum invite you to deck your halls with epiphytes!
Epi-whats?
Epiphytes are air plants that gather moisture and nutrients from the air, making them perfect terrarium plants. These low maintenance house plants will add a pop of fresh green to your holiday décor and can be displayed year round.
Holly Shimizu, former Executive Director of the U.S. Botanic Garden and original curator of the National Arboretum's Herb Garden, will help you design TWO holiday-themed terrarium ornaments to keep or share. Invite a friend!
All materials provided, light refreshments served. We'll provide gift boxes for easy transportation home, plus tips on how to care for the plants.
We'll be working in the Auditorium at the U.S. National Arboretum on Dec. 5 from 10 to 11:30 AM.
