Improv Percolator

The Triangle Improv Community and The Improv Percolator are getting together for a holiday charity fundraiser that will knock your socks off! On Saturday, November 28th four area teams will perform at Common Ground Theatre and all proceeds will benefit The Durham Rescue Mission. Audience members will be encouraged to pay a suggested donation of $15 and bring a package of new socks to give to the needy.

The Durham Rescue Mission is the city's oldest and largest long-term homeless shelter and addiction recovery organization, currently serving over 400 men, women and children. There's a critical need for socks at homeless shelters, especially during the winter months. David Cash, of the Durham Rescue Mission, explains that when people arrive at their doors, "Many of them only have the clothes on their back. Socks and undergarments are a continual need that often gets overlooked when groups think of donations."
