Joujou
JouJou are three women who sing songs that hail from the rich and passionate folk traditions of the world. JouJou's music can range in mood from poignant to comically raucous, and leap from rich lyrical harmonies to mysterious eerie dissonance in a heartbeat. Songs are in Yugoslavian, Macedonian, Russian, Hungarian, Bulgarian, Georgian, Croatian, Mongolian, Portuguese, Armenian, Greek, Italian, Irish and Scottish Gaelic, medieval French, Appalachian, Ladino, Turkish, Lebanese and Laz. They've played with groups like Rosin Coven, Charming Hostess, and Faun Fables. JouJou is Cynthia Vazquez, Jen Tait and Cynthia Lohr.
