Self-care - Sustainability in Maintaining Well-being
Regional Meeting - Special Guest Speakers: Cheryl Gould and Mick Laugs
"She has lots of adventures in her." That's how one insightful 8-year old described Cheryl Gould. Cheryl's latest adventures have brought together her curiosity about the inner workings of humans, her passion for true engagement, and her deep belief in the power of play. Cheryl describes herself as a learning facilitator because she believes that learning can be easy if we can get ourselves out of our own way. Over the past 16 years, Cheryl has been delivering workshops, coaching trainers, and facilitating conversations. Six years ago, Cheryl discovered the power of improv and it's been a life-changer. Today, Cheryl uses and shares improv skills to create self-awareness, improve communication, establish trust, enhance creativity and to discover the power and joy of collaboration.
Mick has been teaching improv since 2000, to a wide range of experience and challenge levels - from corporate trainings to inner-city children's classes; non-profits to Fortune 50 companies, trial attorneys to Hospice workers. He is also certified as a martial arts instructor; massage technician and advanced energywork facilitator.

The evening:
Cheryl:
Values are the things that we believe are important in the way we live and work. Ideally, you use them to determine priorities. When your life and your values don't align, that's when things can feel out of balance or just darn wrong. We'll explore a couple of ways to look at values that we can use together and with clients.
Mick:
As an Applied Improviser, you are a business. When you shut down, so does your work (and your income). We will explore ways to sustain personal well-being while maintaining a thriving, dynamic, and balanced business practice. From simple somatic techniques - listening to your body's feedback - to, hey, play!
This evening we will share ideas and techniques for aligning values and sustaining well-being with each other, so they become practical, useful tools in your professional and daily life.
