Curator's Coffee -- Natural History Exhibits: Past, Present, and Future
The New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science has been open for 26 years, but it carries on a much older tradition of creating exhibits that explore and explain the natural world. What factors have influenced the evolution of natural history exhibits, and what will they look like in the future? Join Matt Celeskey, the Museum's Exhibit Design Manager, in a discussion and tour highlighting experiments that are helping us plan for the exhibits of tomorrow.
Matt Celeskey received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Carnegie Mellon University and has worked on exhibits for zoos and museums for nearly 20 years. He has been part of the Exhibits team at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science since 1998, and his illlustrations, designs, and computer interactives are part of many of the Museum's permanent exhibits and publications..
The New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science reserves the right to cancel any event that does not reach a minimum of 6 participants.
