Whisperings: Live in Boston
"Whisperings" comes to Boston for solo piano concert event Friday, October 5th at 7:30 p.m. at M. Steinert & Sons, 162 Boylston St, right in the heart of Boston. This unique, interactive solo piano concert series features the piano artistry of David Nevue from Eugene OR, as well as local pianists Gary Girouard (Falmouth MA) and Doug Hammer (Lynn MA). Whisperings concerts are known for their intimacy, energy, and humor as the artists share the stories of the life events that inspired their compositions.

"Whisperings: Solo Piano Radio" is an Internet radio broadcast that has become immensely popular. It has vaulted a community of artists, long since forgotten about by major record labels, back into the ears of consumers. Launched in August of 2003, "Whisperings: Solo Piano Radio" enjoys the participation of over 200 pianists and composers from around the world and is enjoyed by nearly a million listeners a month.

"A Whisperings concert is an 'Event,'" Whisperings founder David Nevue says. "It's a montage of personalities, performance styles, humor and joy." Every Whisperings concert features not only the music, but the stories behind the songs. Laughter, improvisation and audience participation are all part of the show. "We encourage families to come, especially if you have kids who are aspiring pianists. After the  concert, parents will be delighted to find their kids practicing the piano with renewed enthusiasm! Even if you don't consider yourself a 'fan' of piano music, you're going to be surprised how much you enjoy the concert."

"Whisperings: Solo Piano Radio" invites you to come and enjoy an evening of storytelling and song with some of today's most talented players and composers. There will be a meet and greet with the artists afterward.
