Film Arts Fest-In This Short Life

Roxie Cinema
San Francisco, CA

Dir. Britta Sjogren
Britta Sjogren's film works the blurry boundary of fiction and documentary, focusing on four intertwined lives--an elderly woman ambivalently embarking on an affair, a mentally unstable man being evicted from his home, a frustrated actor waiting for his breakthrough, and a young woman juggling personal and professional aspirations. The film's music is made up of the haunting songs of San Francisco's own Mark Eitzel and American Music Club.
