A profile of successful recording artist Maria Bethania, this documentary follows the legend as she records a new album and goes on tour. Narrating the movie herself, Bethania reviews her long career and talks about her homeland of Brazil. An impressive group of Brazilian musicians shares their thoughts on the talented songstress  and in some cases perform as well - including Gilberto Gil, Nana Caymmi , Miucha Chico Buarque de Hollanda, and Bethania's famous brother, composer/singer Caetano Veloso.
