you & me {art/performance/dinner/video/dance/live music} explores intimacy as it unfolds through performance in a non -traditional setting at The River School in Reno, NV. What an honor it is to return to Reno and create alongside local and Denver based artists as together we imagine an evening of performance, music, dinner, and dance. A limited number of tickets will be sold for $20.00 each as guests gather each evening at 6:30 pm- 10:30 pm July 4th, 5th, and 6th for a performance and dinner curated, performed, and directed in collaboration by Tara Rynders and artists. Rynders performance premiered in April 2011 in her home in Denver, CO and recently traveled to San Francisco January 2012 and is now taking on a new life as local Reno artists have joined Rynders and Denver/SF based artists to create an intimate evening to share with a new community. you & me allows each guest the chance to create their own performance as they explore spatial and emotional intimacy through technology, video, music, and dance. you & me questions all aspects of performance including where a performance can take place, who are the real performers, how does performance change when it is being witnessed, and is a performance really a performance if it is only happening for one person? A highlight of you & me is the "one on one" performances, a performance created by one performer for only one guest at a time. The "one on one" performances invite the viewer to take an active role in the performance and offer each guest a unique and personalized experience.
