Mendota Rowing Club Community Learn to Row Class
Join us this spring or summer for great fun, great fitness, and make some great new friends! Register now for one of our 2012 Learn to Row classes.
Classes offer an exceptional opportunity for adults and young people ages 12-18 to gain exposure to this growing sport. You'll learn the foundations of rowing on beautiful Lake Mendota.
Community Learn-To-Row classes meet for 2 hours, twice a week, for four weeks.
Courses include a class manual, use of rowing equipment, and personal instruction. The first session involves on-land instruction, including the use of Concept2 ergometers (rowing machines), and proper handling of equipment. The majority of sessions are spent on the water (weather permitting). Rowers will learn to row in four- or eight-person shells.
No previous rowing experience is necessary to enroll in the class. Swimming ability is required.
