The Story of Francois Truffaut
Francois Truffaut was an inventor of the French New Wave. He dubbed the term 'auteur' as a critic and became one himself. His films, beginning with "The 400 Blows", were so popular that he was able to help 160 artists make their first films, including Jean Luc-Godard. Please join us for a screening of Truffaut's "The Story of Adele H."(1975) and a conversation about the making of it with Laura Truffaut, his daughter, who worked on some of his films. She will be interviewed by Lucy Gray. *Please bring something to share before the film - hors d'oeuvres, wine, fruit juice.
