| Description |
For those who like a little spice with their Christmas sugar, this hilarious one-person play chronicles David Sedaris' experiences working as an elf in Macys Santaland. Sedaris, renowned essayist and NPR staple, is a genuine American voice witty, sardonic and unpredictable. Mercilessly cutting through the Christmas spirit, he points out crazy things we do as human beings during the holidays. From screaming children to perverted Santas, this show entails all the satirical humor from the twisted mind of the author of Me Talk Pretty One Day and Barrel Fever. The New York Times has called Sedaris, "America's pre-eminent humorist" and described the play as "A delightfully, thorny account of working as an elf at Macys. Priceless."
Presented in association with ArtsMaplewood The Santaland Diaries, by David Sedaris Adapted by Joe Mantello Directed by David Winitsky Starring Harry Patrick Christian
