AWESOME IMPROV WORKSHOPS with Bill Arnett
Saturday & Sunday April 21 & 22
Bill Arnett (education director for iO Chicago - improv training ground for Tina Fey, Amy Pohler, Tim Meadows, Steve Carrell, Stephen Colbert and many others!)
will be at The Basement for One Weekend Only teaching 2 workshops and an improv intensive.
SATURDAY 12-3pm
Characters: Inside Out and Outside In:
Am I playing a character or myself? How close to myself can I play before it stops being a character? Are these questions even important? This workshop will ask players to create characters by working outside in and inside out and find confidence in their play. Strong play has a strange habit of making those questions not matter.
SATURDAY 3:30-6:30pm
Scene Work Assault: (he taught this at Spon Com ATL 2) Sometimes in improv scenes "play fast" and "listen" are not the best of friends. This workshop will focus on techniques you can use to play with force without being a ball hog.
SUNDAY 12-6pm
IMPROV INTENSIVE - Bill will cover a myriad aspects of long form improv acting! This is not to be missed for any improvisers at any level!
WORKSHOPS are $30 each
