PITCH BLACK
The 1st Annual "PITCH BLACK " Event Weekend, Nov 18th, 20th, and 8th 2016, will be held on our panoramic 2+-acre Mojave site, in beautiful Cantil, California. Hosted by the Red Rock Resort (RRR), a Private Membership Desert Event Space and Film Ranch, already equipped with Standing Beach Sets, used for Music Video, Film, and TV Productions.

The "PITCH BLACK" Event Weekend will be one of the most Unique Experiences you'll ever have. It combines a weekend of Multi-verse LARP'ing, Camping, great Food, outrageous Cos-Play Costumes, and lots of cool stuff to do. There will be Demonstrations, a Competition, a Dead Man's Party, Special Guest Stars and Star-studded Daily Panels, a Daily Autograph Social, and so much more, all with a wild Night Life, combined with the serene, outdoor Desert Camping, in the balmy Mojave Desert of Southern California. There will be LARP Gameplay everywhere including Kona Beach, and the other Beaches to run around and play on, with open Host-Bars, such as Kona Beach Bar, the Crash and Burn Bar, the Polo Club Lounge and Bar and the Lifeguard Tower Bar.
We will have a serious Food Offering with Delicacies from some of the best Vendors on the Planet including the Atomic Cafe, Mon Frere's Cajun Soul Food, and of course the old stand by, the Commissary. We will also be Hosting our first ever, "LARP Game Award" Ceremony, so don't forget to cast your Vote. The Weekend long Event, has plenty of Parking, and lots of Space for Drive/Walk-in Camping. Everything is with-in Walking Distance, and all Gaming and Competition Activities will take place nearby. Come, Enjoy the wonderful Universe of LARP'ing.
If you haven't already tried LARP'ing, well this is your chance to see them in Action, and of course you are still invited to come and try out the different variations of Gameplay, you will not be judged. This is just an all around Fun Family Event, and is meant to represent the fun and excitement of the LARP'ing Universe, so you will see a wide variety of Franchise's represented...

THE SITE
"Kona Beach" has several Firepit Areas, with built in Benches, a 6' Cuddle Puddle on top of Kona Mountain, the beachside has "Sunset Drive-in", an Outdoor Movie Theater, and Darts Area. When entering Kona Beach, you may want to stop at Mon Frere's Cajun Cart, a Small Outdoor Beach Cafe, with a Special Guest Chef, for some good old fashion Down-home Southern Cajun Cooking, then drop by the Lifeguard Tower Bar for an amazing selection of beers form Hawaii's Kona Brewery's, or try a rocking Mai Tai, to wash it all down with.
Kona Sunset Drive-in (Films)
Take in some Horror Sci-Fi oldies but goodies, in our Walk-up Theater. Starting at Sundown Friday, we will show the classics like the "Mummy", "Count Dracula", and every one we can find, three every night till Sunday. Be sure to bring a Blanket and Pillows...
Paradise Beach
"Paradise Beach", has Game tables (Chess, Backgammon, Checkers, Private Group Firepit Area with built in Benches, a 20' Chill Library Dome, or stop by the Crash and Burn Bar, and watch the Sunset.
The Chill Dome, a 20' Dome on Paradise Beach, is located just along Speedway Blvd, with inside/outside Seating and Bar Countertops, the Nightly Séance and Wine Tasting Salon is from 10 pm till.
Olympic Beach
The "Olympic Beach" Set has Horseshoes, a Free-weights Section, a Desert "Short Game" Golf Course, Volleyball, Badminton, Tennis, Kiddy swings, a Climbing Dome, a Basketball Court, a Desert Bowling Lane, Volley Ball, Badminton, Darts, Hiking, Biking. Oh, and Fun...
The Atomic Cafe
Be sure and Start your Mornings at the Atomic Cafe with a Hot Coffee, a Frappuccino, an Espresso, a Cold Juice, or a Hot Earl Grey Tea, with a hot, fresh Baked Croissant. A great way to start your Day, or close out your Night.
The Fusion Jazz Club
Our 25' tall, two tier, Pyramid, will re-engineered into the Fusion Jazz Nightclub and Bar. The Pyramid has Breathtaking View of the Area that can hold up to 10 people, on the second level. It will be decked in lights and Lasers and can be seen for Miles in all directions, across the expansive Dry Lakebed. The Fusion Nightclub will serve up a night of hot Beats moving you till the wee hours of the morning, our laid-back, smoking hot jazzy DJ, will keep the Vibe going till Dawn. It will be another "After Hours" Hosted Bar, where the Attendees can Hang and relax in-between Adventures.
The Polo Club and Lounge
The Polo Club, located up in Parking lot A" is a welcoming respite, and open to all. With the inside Lounge, loaded with comfy couches and nestled Nooks, there is plenty of room to get comfortable, waiting on your next Adventure. While you're there, grab a Drink from the well stocked Bar, in the Club Car
Theme Camps... (LARP Themed)
Participate in one or more of our LARP Games being Hosted by Experienced GMs, running various, and individual Game Systems. This is your chance to try different LARP systems that you have been dying to Play. If the middle of the Melee isn't for you, then come on by and enjoy the crashing of steel as a spectator. There will be something for everyone! (F.Y.I. - Some Camps will be Charging a Separate Game Fee, in addition to the Event Admission Price, to Play their Game)

Our Headliner Bands are Internationally renowned Bands, and will play on the Main Stage, located at the Polo Club.

Its on 20+ Acres of private desert land, up Highway 14, but only 2 hours outside LA, the Address is 13144 Munsey Road, Cantil California, California, 93519 (Type it into MapQuest to get Directions. Most Cell Phone and 4G Data Services do not work out here, however AT&T seems to work fine. You can Tent, RV, Camper, or sleep in your Vehicle. Radical Self Reliance must be practiced here. As always, Leave No Trace.
For those with RV's, right up the road is a very inexpensive Water Refill, and Grey Water Dump station, at Red Rock State Park Ricardo Campground, please call them for up to date info. ( http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=631 )
BRING LOTS OF FIREWOOD!!!!

If you want to provide some Entertainment, please let us know. You are welcome to bring your Fire Toys, but also bring your Fire Safety Equipment as well. All Musical Instruments are Welcome.
In the Mojave area, there are many really cool things to do as well. The Mojave Boneyard, or the Airplane Junkyard, and Mojave Spaceport are right down the street, there are a several Ghost Towns in the nearby area, some Living, some not. Some awesome, yet bizarre manmade Rock Formations, the Cathedral Rocks at Ricardo Park, the Trona Pinnacles, and others.
Bikes are welcome too, and highly recommended, the Desert is a big place (Mountain Bikes do better)

It's a General Sci-Fi Event, so any Hero, from any Franchise is Welcome... With an expected Attendance of 500 - 1,500, we will have Great Food, Great Fun, Music, and Awesome Games.
No Costume? No Problem, It's a Vacation Planet on an Outer Ring of Nowhere, take a Pit Stop at the Galactic Gift Shop, located in the HQ Building it's ok to be out of Uniform, get you a Beach Ensemble for a quick outing at Risa Beach Club, you'll be Fine....
The Event is (if you buy now) $35 for the whole 3 day week-end Pass, $10 for the Day Pass, that includes everything provided by the Event Host, including the Daily Speaker, and Panels, Access to all Bars, Taverns, and the Commissary (requires Food Voucher).
