June 2012 The Fremont Tour, a street theater.
The Fremont Tour is a mix of public sculpture and improvisational street theater. We learn about a Fremont "ART ATTACK", fire the Fremont Rocket and meet the Fremont Troll's cousin. We have props and costumes. Sometimes the tour guides use them and sometimes the tour participants use them. OUR MISSION IS TO ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO FIND THEIR PLAYFULNESS THROUGH ART AND HISTORY.
Our 2012 season operates from Saturday, May 19th through Sunday, September 30th. There are daily tours starting at 1:00 and 3:00 PM. There is a 5:00 PM tour on weekends and holidays.
Our entertaining street theater is located in the Fremont District of Seattle which is 4 miles north of downtown. It is about a 10 minute bus ride (#5,26,28,30).
Tours begin at Solstice Plaza which is on the SE corner of N. 34th St. and Fremont Ave. N. (about 200 feet behind the sculpture Waiting for the Interurban). The tour is 1/2 mile long and takes about 80 minutes.
CAUTION: WE TAKE HAVING FUN VERY SERIOUSLY !!!
