Alliance Dance Company - Fighting for a Dream...
Act I brings you a few company favorites as well as all new works by Bryan Hurd, Lindsey Jaynes, Kimberly Schomburg, Stephanie Unger, and Amy Williams.
Act II is the full ballet Fighting for a Dream by Artistic Director Jennifer Gage.
It's the pendulum of life that swings between the positive and negative aspects and presents us with the challenge of fighting for what we believe in and our dreams. Not all things presented that seem bad or good are truly so, for the pendulum swings to create opportunity and creativity.
We are one person, one body, working together, an Alliance. We all experience various changes in our lives and see things differently as people come in and out of our life and events take place. But we still strive for unity, appreciation, and gratitude, with an end to pain, frustration, and bad memories. The fight is made and the battle is driven by a desire to see our dreams brought to life, to have a purpose, to be wanted, beyond what the naysayers and negative have to say. Alliance continues to fight for the dream of opportunities to create a passion within people.
