Pacific Northwest Cabaret Association is proud to present the "Then and Now" and "Hands Solo, Pianoman" as part of its cabaret series. PNWCA is composed of various performers dedicated to the American Style cabaret form. The American style cabaret form first began in the speak easies of New York and had its heyday in the 1950's until the early 1970's where cabaret luminaries like Barbra Streisand, Beth Midler, Woody Allen and Joan Rivers, to name a few, were "discovered" by the mainstream audience.
Encore Production of "THEN AND NOW" 7pm Please join us for an encore presentation of THEN AND NOW featuring Judy Ann Moulton, Kim Maguire, Marcus Wolland and Victor Janusz "in a charming 'themed' cabaret show - a mixture of a mini-plot, a examination of time and relationships and, most of all, great music. Bravo to all four for creating a new work for the Emerald City's cabaret fans, a work that is worth remounting in other venues, in other months. This writer would love to see it again - and soon." - SGN A&E Writer
"I attended an engaging quartet performance entitled Then & Now featuring veteran local actor singers Judy Ann Moulton, Marcus Wolland and Kim Maguire, with pianist/singer Victor Janusz, in which the artists showed ease with each other and had some savory solo moments." - TalkinBroadway.com "HANDS SOLO, Pianoman" 9 pm Victor Janusz brings his one-man show about his "life at the keys", revamped from its NYC Debut (2010), featuring many original tunes. The American style cabaret form distinguishes itself from other cabaret forms by its minimalistic style of delivery; it's primary, but not exclusive, focus on the American songbook; and the breaking of the "fourth wall' thus giving its audience a more intimate musical experience.
