"Schooled" reveals the inner-transformation of a high school teacher (Daniel Kucan) as he discovers a democratic school and learns to connect with kids as people. This raw character study premiered at The Method Film Fest in LA where it received two nominations, one for Best Ensemble Performance. It also stars Alysia Reiner (SIDEWAYS), was co-edited by Frederick Marx (HOOP DREAMS), and features a haunting score by Andrew Hollander (WAITRESS). Written and directed by maverick newcomer Brooks Elms, "Schooled" stormed the education community with screenings at
"The Alternative Education Revolution Organization Conference" in New York, "The Re-Thinking Education Conference" in Dallas, and "The Oceania Pacific Progressive Schools Conference" in Sidney, Australia. "Schooled" hits home for anybody who dares to challenge their fundamental ideas about children's empowerment.
