Professional dance company Bellingham Repertory Dance presents: Ten, an evening of modern dance works from nationally recognized choreographers in celebration of a decade of support from our community. The company will perform at the Firehouse Performing Arts Center in Fairhaven, the theater that has been home to the company since its inception in 2006. The show will run for three nights, with two shows on Saturday evening: November 19, 20, and 21 at 7:30pm and November 21 at 5:00pm. Ten is a frenetic and physically powerful concert that will sweep away audiences with movement that reflects the most current trends in contemporary dance.

Collecting works from across the country, Ten showcases by far the most geographically diverse collection of choreographers Bellingham Repertory Dance has ever presented. Ryan Corriston's Exodus comes to Bellingham from Virginia, and Gina Sorensen's Eyes East originally premiered on her San Diego-based company, Somebodies Dance Theater. Also included in the evening's program are two works from Kevin Jenkins (San Francisco), Lauren Edson (Boise), and a resurrection of a work from former company member Wyn Pottratz (recently relocated to Scotland). Assimilating these choreographer's diverse perspectives in one concert, the breadth and pure movement of Ten feels like the double-digits birthday party that the professional company has been building towards for the last decade.

Tickets will be available at the door but are available at a discount if purchased in advance. Tickets are available for purchase at Village Books and the Firehouse Cafe in Fairhaven, and online at brownpapertickets.com. Admission is $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Additionally, $5 student rush tickets will be available 5 minutes before show-time if capacity allows.
