THE LOUNGE ON THE EDGE OF HEAVEN by Tom Long
Waypoint Theatre Company, southern Arizona's faith-based, live theatre company in Tucson presents the divine musical comedy/drama, THE LOUNGE ON THE EDGE OF HEAVEN by Tom Long June 27-July 1 for one week only as part of Waypoint's annual Journeys In Faith series.
Vivian Fox and Rock Handsome, former lounge singers and members of the Holy Halleluiah Players MC a "this is your life" retrospect at a lounge on the edge of Heaven for Jill, a newcomer to the lounge. Through the miracle of divinely-inspired musical comedy/drama featuring cheesy special effects and singing cherubim, Jill is shown glimpses of her past life in Ajo, AZ.
The decisions she made--good and bad--the path she went down--knowing and accepting Jesus, but falling away--reveal Jill's most significant life event: having caused a fatal car accident while driving drunk. But grace and forgiveness meet her at the Gate... (1 hour running time)
