Capitol Hill Arts Center and Theater Under Ground present:
Tis the season. Deal with it. Come take a hip trip to Striking 12, the refreshingly alternative holiday show coming to Capitol Hill Arts Center after sold out productions in New York, San Francisco, LA, Washington DC, and around the country. CHAC has just managed to snag the show for three shows only on December 14th and 15th!
Playbill.com calls Striking 12 the best new musical that nobody has heard of, and the San Francisco Chronicle hails it as joyously upbeatcaptivatingnot so much a musical as a story threaded through a concert.
With an innovative creative team that includes Tony Award-winner Rachel Sheinkin (The 25thSpelling Bee) and direction by Tony Award-winner Ted Sperling (The Light in the Piazza, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels), Striking 12 is a unique hybrid of musical theater and live concert performed by celebrated pop-rock trio GrooveLily. It tells the story of a grumpy, overworked office-worker who resolves to spend New Years Eve alone in his apartment when an unexpected visitor brings some much-needed cheer. The evening springs to life through an eclectic GrooveLily score that combines pop, rock, jazz and more.
Striking 12 a cross between a rock concert and a holiday show (for those who arent sure if they even like holiday shows)!
